Charcoal on Paper
During college, what began as a casual elective turned into the unexpected discovery of a hidden talent. I found myself drawn to fine art—initially as a creative outlet amid the academic grind. Without formal training in charcoal artwork prior to college, I relied on emotion and observation to guide my process. Professors and peers started to take notice of my work, and it resulted in a small but impactful collection of fine art pieces that reflected not only technical growth but also a deep, authentic connection to tangible creative expression.

Digital Medium in Procreate
As a lead-up to the best holiday of the year—Halloween—this first-ever Inktober challenge drew inspiration from Japanese folklore and horror stories. With quarantine making it easy to slip into creative stagnation, the project served as a way to stay sharp, maintain an illustrative edge, and stay engaged through a consistent, personal theme.

Digital Medium in Procreate
In this second consecutive year of Inktober, the focus shifted to witchy, tarot-inspired concepts. With improved time management and a stronger sense of direction, the challenge became an opportunity to push creative boundaries. Each piece followed a more structured format—tarot card–styled illustrations that explored themes of magic, mysticism, and witchcraft. The project not only refined illustrative technique but also allowed for deeper storytelling through symbolism and visual consistency, bringing a cohesive and intentional aesthetic to the month-long series.
